IBC 1000 litre tanks...
« on: October 04, 2014, 11:34:47 pm »
Hi all,

Thinking of buying one of these off eBay. Wondered if there's anything I need to watch out for? Do I need to be careful what was in it before? Can anyone recommend a seller?

Thanks

Get one with either metal of plastic base/feet not on a wooden pallet.

Anything like fruit juice or food stuff is good.

Glue, oil is bad

Got both of mine from Walkers Crisps.
Had oil in them previously.
Washed out without issue.
Had them 4 years now.

The thing that put me off was the size. A 1000 ltr baffled tank is smaller than a IBC. WHY. It should be other way round

The ibc has a frame around it which adds to the size , also they are actually 1050 litres .
