new gardiner back pack problem
« on: October 02, 2014, 09:11:14 pm »
Used it for first time today and was ok first 2 houses but then when I switched it off it wouldn't turn off using the flow control with or the on off switch the power is always there and when I plug pole hose in it starts straight away, Gardiners advised me to switch it on and off several times in case switch was was stuck but that didn't work and I need to get back in touch with them to get it sent back so they can look at it, anyone else had this problem or any idea what it could be?

Cheers

I can't work out what the on/off switch is for on mine  ???

I just turn the silver dial off - can only just feel the click though.

Think its just if you want pump on full all the time Dave, neither of mine will switch it off I have to take fuse out to cut the power  :(

Has the switch not got three positions 1-0-11 the v2 has position 1 for adjustable flow and position 11 for max flow with the centre 0 being off.

Give the girls a ring this morning and they can arrange a courier collection of it for sorting out. Sounds like the main switch has stuck in the on position - does turning the speed dial not affect the speed of the pump at all? If it doesn't then it will be the on/off switch that is faulty.

We can arrange to get this collected from you to sort out or alternatively we could send you a replacement On/Off switch to fit if you do not want to be without it. Let the girls know which you would prefer and we can arrange it for you.

ON/Off switch is either full speed on or off. The dial is for using the pump at incremental speeds below full speed.
