anyone had any probs with brushes lifting the lead from leaded windows we have had a few now and wondering what to do about it

Use a soft brush gardiners sell a soft brush i cant remember its name but its good for leaded. Take a look on there website

thanks for the reply, we bought the brushes and poles from Gardiners, i have to say i didnt realise that you needed to use different brushes depending on the window type

If they're factory fitted from new, they shouldn't lift - if they're still in guarantee the home owner should complain.

DIY leads -

As a general rule, you don't need to put anything like the pressure on the brush that you might think.  Be very gentle.

If it's on horizontal and vertical lead, then just turn the brush head to an angle (20^o to 30^o should do it) then brush upwards and downwards as normal.  Stops the brush bouncing so much.
