Comments: The round we sell is commercial only and is a mixture of shops, restaurants, pubs , offices , surgeries , hotels and more. The round is compact and all jobs are within just two miles radius in central London. We've been established for over 12 years and we are selling the round due to a large industrial /national contract. All clients are very important to us as we’ve built this business from scratch so we'd like to sell it to the right person/company which would take the right care of them. This round takes between 3-4 days to complete with two people working and it's cleaned using traditional and water fed pole methods. Most clients are on a contract so the round its well secured. Collection takes place once a month and is mainly by email (invoice by email ) but there is a small number of some clients paying cash on invoice so some personal collections are necessary . All clients are good payers, most transactions are through BACS , cheques or direct debit. This round gives a great opportunity to expand as it includes a good number of property companies, which often request extra work. I know, sounds a good deal to me especialy that your in with clients where more work can occur, the risk factor being you may lose work by not being the company who is selling but its a risk that may be worth taking for someone!

Pretty much a years turnover. Although with costs and paying someone else to help you're probably looking at about 18 months to earn the money back. Big outlay though. If I was closer to London I'd consider it!

It's £66,000 per year. Plus there's the extras. And its commercial so a lot of contracts. To be able to get straight on with that work, no canvassing, no driving all over the place trying work out best routes. No messers. No first cleans. The business has been established for 12 years. I think if someone has the funding then its definitely worth it.

I bought some work which was 10 times the monthly average. It would have taken a very long time time to get it up to the standard that it is up to now. The guy who ran it before us had it so finely tuned it was a no brainer. The work Mick is going on about is exactly the same its just that the ££'s are more but that means the rewards are more. Look long term I reckon.

Imagine having that and offering to someone as a franchise (as mentioned by Vin). Thats the pension sorted.

Just checked the comparable annuity (e.g. on death same income goes to spouse, payment goes up with RPI, etc) you'd get from £71,000 - £1,318.  What utter joy that it's so close to 1/10 of the amount you could rent out the round for (£13,200 above).

And, as (I think) David St Ives once said, the contract just needs to specify that any work lost needs to be replaced.  Then the renter has an incentive to look after the customers and the round value doesn't diminish.
