[S.W. Window Cleaning]

Was cleaning a house today. UPVC frames were black. Not been cleaned for years. Im wfp so used Virosol to start with and then cream cleaner. There was a lot of streakes on the white even when cleaned. Used magic sponges as well. In the end they came up not too bad but is there something im missing or is it because they have been left too long?

Cheers that's what I thought.  Spent 4 hours cleaning the house as it was piggin but they got an appropriate bill

I personally just clean black frames with pure,scrub leave go back a few mins later scrub then rinse again, I get good results and no problems.
Not saying I'm right but that's what I do and results are good,not saying there gleaming white but customers are pleased,in my opinion cleaning is cleaning,I'm not trying to make them look like new,but fair play to the guys that put the effort in an want make them look like new

+1 although I've now started using the spare backpack with TFR for a quick once over for soffits then tap water to scrub and rinse. I wouldn't be wasting my time with cream cleaner, although I gave the wife a tub of Astonish for our UPVC doors. Maybe I'm lazy

i find brillo pads good for black water marks

also the little green and yellow washing up sponges u can buy will agitate it

I carry a battery powered angle grinder in the van just for this purpose.

I've seen this a few times and I think it's soap residue that has changed black with time. I give them a good scrub using WFP on the first clean and tell the custie that they will improve on each clean after (and they do)
