« on: September 29, 2014, 01:08:39 pm »
Is their a hose that is good for hot and cold use or are the hot hoses really stiff when used for cold water ?

What i want to do is use hot water for early morning commercial work and cold for regular resdential

Thanks Paul

I've got microbore, the Gardiner orange thermobore http://www.gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/acatalog/thermobore-100m-reinforced-hose-6mm-id.html
It works fine for me as I have an immersion and a water heater so run cold, warm and hot (50*), mostly use my immersion so have coldish - warm water. This hose has been great, will cope with it all. Saying that, I previously had the yellow Gardiner stuff and that was OK it the warm to hot water too. But I think the thermobore will last a bit longer.

Also, it is flexible and supple in cold as well as hot mode. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that the orange hose tends to be a bit more grippy than the yellow, although, I think this wears off through use.

My thermobore was ok but went rock hard once the winter was over. Had to put a new reel of yellow on once the spring came.
