Hi Alex I am buying pump and liquid logic from a friend since he bought them he's always had a problem of the pump still sounding like it's pumping even when water turned off at pole, it isn't still pumping water as the pipes don't burst but it will still be draining battery power, any ideas?

Tried that  the pump makes a slightly different sound, it just sounds like it's still pumping water but without the pressure building up?

Which pump and controller is it?

If you have adjusted the calibration correctly and the pump still does not shut it would usually be the pump sucking in air from a slightly faulty connection. This could be the inlet thread needing more PTFE tape or a barbed connector needing clamping tighter.

Which pump and controller is it?

If you have adjusted the calibration correctly and the pump still does not shut it would usually be the pump sucking in air from a slightly faulty connection. This could be the inlet thread needing more PTFE tape or a barbed connector needing clamping tighter.

I would agree with Alex that initially there is a need to ensure there is no air being drawn by the pump via a connector.
I also noted that after you had calibrated the control the sound made by the pump changed. Can I ask with water flow shut off does the control display DE?
The sound form the pump while flow is off, is it continuous or a pulse every few seconds?
Lastly how old is the controller

Sorry for late reply phone keeps playing up I'll see if air getting in, the pump is running continuous.
