We try hard, and we manage expectations, but we still get problems with oak - darkening when wetted, especially with high pH stuff and mdf skirting boards blowing if wetted.
We wrap with polythene & gaffer tape, roll & stroll across vast areas, etc etc, but on too many jobs something happens that we haven't warned the custy about strongly enough.
We're now thinking the only way to improve is to visit a couple of days before the job & lay beads of silicone around oak, mdf, etc, as well as drafting a new handout to warn custys of what may happen.
What do others do?
