Is this a fair comment?

I went to look at a 60 plate Citroen Dispatch today at a garage near me. Its priced at £5999 plus vat with 80,000 miles on clock one owner and fsh.
After opening
the  door I opened the glove box only to find that it came apart in my hand for which I asked the salesman if I was to buy it then would they be prepared to fix it! He said it's a common fault on this model. It'll only cost me £500 to fix! Cheeky so and so I thought then left!

Unfortunately the motor trade is full of idiots. The idiots also seem to be the ones promoted and usually end up as salesmanagers and dealer principals. They don't seem to be able to see things from another side.

What a good impression they have left - not. Will you ever go back? I wouldn't.

Put one foot in front of the other and head for the Exit.
In some ways he has done you a favour by showing his attitude to how he would deal with any problems the vehicle has.

you would be better off spending a bit more and buying a brand new one, instead of one someone else has thrashed

3 years warranty, no mot's for 3 years,

you have to pay the vat then claim it back, you can become vat registered in the future and claim the vat back on the van you bought previously I think you can do that up to 2 years, I did this with my van

if your not vat registered then you cannot reclaim the vat.
