Is it boosted with a pump or straight from your tap ? if the latter do you happen to know what your mains pressure is ?
Asking because I used to have the old merlin but went to a 4040 soon after because of high waste and tds issues. Now I maybe selling my flat  and the 4040 membrane needs replacing, thinking along the lines of the pentair again due to its size and portability as I may need a van mounted solution until I have new permanant living arrangements. Do you have experience of the old merlin ? is it improved in any way other than visually ?

I have just bought the Pentair merlin, im running just from tap pressure which is 40psi and my pure/waste ratio must be more like 90/10! Its bringing the tds reading from 174 to 11.

Would a booster pump bring down the tds further and prolong the life of the filters? Or does it just better the waste/pure ratio?

Thanks

How new or how old are the filters.

With my merlin, to start with when new filters are put in the tds goes from 240'ish to 21 but soon rises after a few weeks up to about 70.

What I'm cautious about is they made similar claims about the old merlin.
Just chant..... Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna, Krsna Krsna, Hare Hare, Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare. It's beats chanting Tory Tory or Labour Labour.
