New van offers/deals
« on: September 08, 2014, 12:59:21 pm »
Hi Guys, has anyone seen a great deal recently? I am after a mid sized van to take a 400-500 litre tank, one man system. Thinking of getting a new one to avoid buying a dud.
Cheers,

Go on Autotrader new vans section and browse, but after a quick look myself, i found a fiat scudo and a current shape vauxhall combo 2300 (1000kg payload), both at £9.5k

850kg versions of either the citroen berlingo or peugeot partner for just under £8k.

Also, Michael mentioned the new vivaro and trafic, but obviously you wont get a good deal on one of them when they 1st come out!. You may well get some cracking deals on the last of the current shape though. Noticed a vivaro for £9999, but it was the 90ps version, imo you would be better finding another grand for the 115ps versions of vivaro, trafic, or primastar.

Happy hunting ;D

I'm going for the new ford ranger wildtrak next year. Have a mate who is an ex ford executive and he says he will get me a deal to beat anything else out there. ;)

Thanks Guys
I didn't know the Partner had a payload up to 850kg. They are great little vans.

Both the berlingo and the partner come with either 625kg or 850kg payloads. But you also get the 'long' version, a very odd looking thing (imagine if the top gear boys were tasked to make a berlingo/partner longer and you will get the idea!), it has a 750kg payload. They also amongst the very few vans in that class which can be had with a cramped but still useful double passenger seat (i think you can get the new transit connect with that).
