Backpack remote.
« on: September 01, 2014, 07:20:47 pm »
Has anyone got a cheap remote connected to their trolley/backpack?

I bought one off eBay when will turn the pump on, but will not turn the pump off, the pump when it is running interferes with the frequency of the remote so it won't turn off.

I only want a cheep one is anyone can recommend one to me.

Kink the pole pipe. Then press off. Should work.

Tried loads over the years. Always the same problem.

I got a pretty decent one, works from a good distance, even when the pump is running, I also put some ferrite cable cores around the wires to try and supress the noise.

Thanks for the links. How many ferrite cores did you use, I might try those first on my existing remote.

I put two in, one on the pump wires and one on the remote wires, but you can put as many as you want. Just make sure the inner diameter of the core is big enough for the thickness of your wires. they do say the more cores you use the more noise is eliminated.
