When Texts Go Bad
« on: August 29, 2014, 05:08:30 pm »
Texted a few customers last night to let them know I was coming round.
Cleaned the particular street this morning no problems.

4pm this afternoon my phone goes off:

"Thanks left gate open"  ???
I couldn't remember if I left the gate open or not but I text back
"Damm I'm sorry"
Another text comes my way
"didn't you clean the windows then?"
Now I'm getting really wound up cheeky bitch. I send a text back:
"Are you serious? Is there a problem?
She texts back
"I'm not home I'm at work"

Suddenly it dawns on me what's going on - can you spot the deliberate mistake?  ;D

Yeah shes saying thanks for texting and shes left the gate open for you
You think she meant you'd left the gate open
The text was probably delayed getting to you?

That'll teach you for getting defensive straight away  :P :P

About 4 years ago i received a phone call. I glanced at my phone before answering. At the time i had my phone set up so a certain image came on screen depending on who was phoning. The image was what i had set up to come on when my youngest son phoned. Now i was busy working at the time, and he had already phoned me once that day already asking something which he really did not need to be bothering me at work about, so i answered the phone very abruptly, saying,

"WHAT!"

It was actually a woman looking for a quote!, no idea what happened re the phone showing my sons image, but fortunately the woman was not put off too much by my tone, and i still clean her windows to this day!.

Of course these days, i just have a standard ring tone and no specific images coming on screen when my phone rings as i don't trust them >:( ;D
