I operated using box trailers for fifteen years (two in fifteen years...sold each one on at the end of its life with me at a good price)

Advantages...

1.  you can use any suitable vehicle with a tow bar.

2.  disconnect and garage the trailer at the end of the day...secure and out of sight.

3.  You can change your motor vehicle as many times as you like...don't need to change the trailer

Disadvantages....

Once you get used to towing none really

Advice

Get one with a tow bar that 'locks' on to the towing vehicle not just slots on... more security and no risk of it jumping off on a very bumpy road... yes it did happen...just the once...stopped when it hit a shop window

Reason I now drive a van..simply on the accountants advice...my towing vehicle (Range Rover) was used as a private car and that lovely Mr Brown started to impose too many tax liabilities
