customer problems
« on: April 07, 2006, 10:00:14 am »
hi, i've been on my own now for nearly a year(trad). use to work for someone for 2 yrs.

I am picking up customers at a say 2 new ones a week.
I am still under pricing though, I price at £20 an hour.
I've worked out that on average I under price by 25% Will now price at £25 an hour. Have read all the advice on £1 a window or £1 a move of the ladder I only clean 3 panes a time up ladder left right & one in front of me. sorry too waffle!
how do price a conservatory (not roof) i.e 50p a pane?

also have put much effort in making a letter up, i give new customers highlighing
I clean every 4-5 weeks, some weeks it's unavoidable working in rain.
But the most important about being paid in a week, by post.

what do you guys say to customers if their obviously going to keep paying late?
I don't collect and don't want to keep chasing after people.
I am replacing late payers with new customers but sometimes i'm reluctant to drop customers if there in a road where there's very few others, have tried text's to get people to leave money out but still no good.
help! any of you guys got any advice!

also how do you up load on here if anyone ones a copy of what i've typed up i can email it to them and maybe put on here, i use internet at library, shutting for a month soon for refurb.
cheers lee
