OMG How lucky am I?
« on: August 15, 2014, 01:58:17 pm »
Hi all.

So I'm working away near Claverey near Wolverhampton this afternoon and I go back to the van to get my 44ft extreme and... It's not there!

It didn't take me long to figure out that I'd left it leaning at a block of apartments yesterday afternoon in West Bromwich, extended to around 30ft, leaning into a corner.

It was easy to see from the main road so I feared the worst and quickly drove the 15 miles or so, only to find it was still in exactly the same place I had left it!

That's saved me a grand or so I'm well chuffed!  ;D

Feeling lucky, Phew.

lucky for sure. I leave my spray with virosol in all over the place. Wife got me 2 more yesterday from Sainsburys. On offer less than £2

It's an awful feeling in the pit of your stomach isn't it? I left my extreme 47 against a block of flats and drove off to the next customer. I realised within 15 minutes but I had a cold sweat that hit me until the relief came of seeing it where I'd left it.

Not as bad as my mate's father who bought a new caravan on the Saturday and being a retired insurance agent told the dealer he'd sort out any insurance himself. He didn't get round to it and the following Wednesday it got nicked. £10,000 down the Suwannee.
It's a game of three halves!

I once left a brodex carbon fibre 36ft pole leaning against a block of flats in a nasty area in Liverpool, tucked away in a courtyard.  By the time I realised (maybe 45 mins) I shot back there and it was gone. This was probably 6 years ago and the pole was probably £400+ worth. :(

Did the tenants need evacuating when the flats started listing?

Hi Lal, I've been fine thanks, just busy. I do pop back occasionally but it is a lot of the same old same old on here. What's the best pole? What's the best gloves?
etc etc.

I'm glad I helped you on your way mate, all the best.   :)
