I had to get up on a flat-roof to do a couple of windows and also a couple of extra roof-lights. Anyway I tugged my pole-hose to get more hose up on to the roof. Unbeknown to me it was wrapped round the foot of the ladder, which subsequently tipped over.
So there I was up on the roof, with no ladder, and working by myself.
So I cleaned the windows and tried to hook the ladder up with the pole, which didn't work. Then tried to lower myself over the roof edge. Problem was my grip slipped and over I went. I was very fortunate as I landed on my heel, which I broke 15 years ago coming off a ladder. Very painful now, my heel, flat of the foot, and feel like I've been run over by a bus.
Could've been worse, so look out kids - accidents happen to the best window cleaners too
