First and only job tomorrow, less than 5ft away from where I'm typing this.

Being 14 floors up and about a mile from the coast facing SW, our windows are covered in salt..... again.

The missus said as I'm not working and as it'll be tipping it down, I can clean the windows.

Personally, I'd let the rain clean them instead.
Just chant..... Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna, Krsna Krsna, Hare Hare, Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare. It's beats chanting Tory Tory or Labour Labour.

On the road with 140 miles to go,

This isn't the norm for us, it is extreme. We normally try to keep all of our work within 90 miles of Stoke. The motorway network is superb in our area so we can get to most big cities in less than 1hr, Liverpool, brum, manchester, nottingham etc so it gives us a good opportunity to take on lots of work.

This Scotland work is part of a much bigger list of work that mostly has been in the 90 mile radius that we operate in,

There are 7 or 8 jobs left and then the list is complete for another 6 months. The jobs are very well paid on a whole so I'm not complaining plus it gives us a chance for a little road trip north of the border.

All good fun.

15 mins away today and most working days, sometimes less.never more than 30 mins away from any of my work.i prefer to keep my work close.less wear and tear on van, less fuel costs and more time spent "on the glass". :)

Should have started 17 miles away, but still in bed and still waiting for the extreme rain which should have been here by now. Go to work or take kids to cinema?

When I started window cleaning 9 yrs ago all of my work was within a 15 minute drive of my house. I must admit that I did enjoy it, the freedom of being a one man band and all, but the earning potential was seriously limited. I'm not knocking it though, I'd say at least a couple of times a week I wish that I was back in my van alone.

So, by that logic you can discuss anything you want on this forum so long as you're a window cleaner? Pumpkin.
