Are the mixed dual trim sill and extreme brush any good?

ive got a pole on order but they cant send it because the superlight
mixed dual trim is out of stock.

so looking for an alternative,cheers gary

IMO, the extreme brushes aren't gonna suit you.
You'll have learned your trade using a very densely packed brush and will work accordingly. The super light DT brush is my weapon of choice. Cill brush on my 18' Extremes at height.
You're getting this pole & brush for FSG's mainly aren't you? The extreme is absolutely no good for them.
Has Alex got a super light cill brush? That is very well suited to fsg as the splay angle is so wide-gets right up the back of the gutter.

I use all sorts dirty, vikans ,gardiners, ive used superlight dual trim mono
in past,apparently the mixed dual trim superlight is the most popular
of brushes but like i said they are out of stock.

Just looked at the video and the radius sill brush looks like the best
alternative for what i need,obviously i will use the pole for window
cleaning aswell,i can always order a normal mixed dual trim brush
when they have stock.

the mixed dual trim was out of stock.

Not a great fan of the duel trim super lite, found it took a lot of pressure to get the inner bristles
touching the glass.
Go for the mixed duel trim xtreme, it will take a bit of time to get used to it but once you do you will never look
back.

dual trim medium mixed SL standard for dirty first cleans

radius sill brushes for f/s/g cleans and conny roofs

dual trim flocked SL standard black brush for solar panels and high velux on a 90 degree gooseneck.

stiff versions of these brushes with hot water in winter.

Ive got a bucket in the van with 20 brushes in it. I havent got a clue what they are. Allsorts. Remember the auto-brush, loved it. Weighed more than a brick but it was innovative.

I do apologize about this situation, unfortunately we had a massive run on these particular brushes during the month of July and left us out of stock this week.

The nearest alternative to the Super-Lite Dual-Trim Medium-Mixed is probably the Sill Brush Medium-Mixed which you have opted for. However the stock of the SL DT MM brushes should be with us today (tomorrow if the freight company is delayed).

I agree there are too many brushes on the market - probably best if the Government restricted it is just Gardiner brushes being sold from now on 

Of course even within our range there are still 16 different brushes to choose from. Generally speaking I find that I can clean windows with any brush, however it is very quickly becomes apparent whether a brush is suited to me as I instinctively find myself reaching for just one brush for all of my work.

Some of the choices can be logical - do I want a brush to clean sills or or do I want a standard brush? Do I want a brush for cladding or a brush to clean large Solar Panels? Then once the choice has been narrowed down to a type of brush required it is a choice of bristle stiffness and strength. If using hot water then go for the stiff bristles for most other users the Medium-Mixed brushes would be the choice. We do sell soft bristle options, but these are not generally suited to all users - however they are there for those that like a soft brush.

Sounds a bit like my collection of brushes in the van!

If you ever want to identify an older brush then send me a photo of the stock and the bristles and I can usually tell you exactly what model it is and what the equivalent new brush is.

I do have to make myself throw away old brushes sometimes as my hoarding instinct is to keep hold of them all. However it is a bit like holding on to old squeegee rubbers. Once a squeegee rubber has become worn out (rounded top edge) even if it has not got a nick in it you know it will not clean as well as a fresh blade. The same is true of older brushes once they have had their life even if the shape of them looks good the bristle points will have become worn and they will never clean as efficiently as a new brush.

I use a medium mixed extreme it's so light yet scrubs everything off I've even used it on conny roofs and facias.
Lighter the better i reckon

i use extreme brushes for maintenance window cleaning mainly as their so light and ive a lot of awkward windows to reach over connys/extensions,3 storey etc.these need replacing every 2 or 3 months though as they dont last.

the other brushes will last a while as they dont get used as often.i do use the standard SL for some 2 monthly jobs and jobs near trees as they scrub better than the extremes as well as using them for dirty first cleans.

i find the sill brushes great for s/f/g cleans and conny roofs and the flocked black SL is the brush of choice for solar panels.

each to their own but i find having a range of brushes suit me for different types of cleaning.
