i have a really good palm tx PDA(bought brand new last year)for pocket george.love it.very easy to use with the george program.i just bluetooth hotsync it to my laptop at the end of my working day.

when this needs replacing im hoping HP bring out a device with a palm emulator on so i can keep with george as its very simple to use or i might buy a cheap tablet.

george does everything i need and no ongoing running costs apart from the initial £50 download fee and £12 a year internet back up.been using it for 5 years now.best £50 ive ever spent on my business. :)
price higher/work harder!

George for the Money is fine.

You can get a cheap Palm on Ebay.  And if you damage it whist out, so what - buy another, cheap enough

I don't think I've seen one for 10 years, in use.
Can't see why you'd carry a phone sized electronic device just for a spreadsheet.

I'm afraid your all wrong boys, yes a palm etc works and all that and I used to use George and then aworka, I urge any of you to try the cleaner planner for free for the trial period (they can upload all your date) it is seriously good for your business sod the extra cost it's like using and extreme over a Harris pole

You lads that use a palm, do you print a work list or have the days list on the palm so to speak, and mark them as done while your'e out?

Do they have the whole of George on them or just the days list ? customers contact details?

dave i load 3 days work onto my PDA.no worksheets required.worklist also has notes for certain customers, customer details etc and of course a debtlist for my entire round.i simply tick off my work as i go then bluetooth hot sync it wirelessly to my laptop when i get in at night.

very simple to use and saves on paper and ink. ;) :)

In my opinion George is the dogs bs does what I want ,also cheap, others say it's limited to what it offers, but I've not looked at others,6.5 years in and I'm happy with George,
Having said that maybe I would be impressed with others if I bothered to look

you lot are all stuck in the dark ages, as was i til a few weeks ago, change is not an easy thing to do especially when it costs you more money but virtually every change that i have undertaken where my business is concerned has been a step forward some changes a huge leap forward.

Cleaner Planner is denifinately a huge leap forward. Although i will admit that I worried about it for weeks and slowly decided to go for it and i am so glad i did.

It is the difference between pen and paper and a computer , between walking and driving etc.... it was one of the best things i have done for my business in recent years. It enables me to run my business in an effective, time efficent and dynamic way. Rob the programmer is also fantastic and is always onhand for support and he listens to your ideas and implements them...... try it out, you wont look back.
