george and pocket george to cleaner planner
« on: June 30, 2014, 09:34:33 pm »
Hello just wondering who has made the above transition and how you find it. Im just on the free trial at the moment (1 st working day today) and although I can see cleaner planner does alot more I think goerge and a pda was much easier and smoother. Im gonna give it some time and see how I get on though.

We have recently moved over from George to Cleaner Planner.
to start with I found it a bit of a struggle as I don't do tech stuff, but today is the end of my first full week and I can honestly say I think I made a good choice.
We also used PDA's with pocket George and thought it was ace, but having worked with CP for a while now, last night I ordered 3 cheap tablets plus a better one for me and can't wait to start using them as I believe it will be so much better.
Listening to people on here I think the biggest gripe is cost, which I find amusing considering how small our running costs are in this business compared to others.

I held off moving away from George for far to long, I would never knock George as I think it was a great bit of kit, but sadly it got left behind when Paul decided not to develop it to run other platforms. Who uses Palm these days?

I have had issues with CP, most down to me not being that good with new things but Rob has always responded to my emails quickly, (sometimes in a couple of minutes)
My honest opinion.....   It was a very good investment, one I most definitely do not regret.

Had a good chat with Rob last night, he's tweaking a couple of things to make it easier to use. He's a very accommodating fella and will take on board any constructive criticism to work towards making it flawless for everyone.

I tried it and Aworka at the same time (probably not a good idea).
I found the layout good and initially preferred it to Aworka. However, some of it was just too much for my small brain - didn't get the chance to see it in its mobile form and the pricing didn't match Aworka so I ditched it.

Aworka isn't bad (still confuses me now sometimes) and the mobile version isn't exactly seamless to be honest and in my opinion should be perfect by now.

Nether are a patch on George for simplicity and clarity in my humble opinion.

I have just switched having used George and WCP. This is streets ahead and Rob is constantly making improvements. he is always on hand and responsive with nothing too much of a problem.. He even tailors the program to your specific needs (where possible)..
Best investment...

Bob, I have ordered 3 of these for the vans  http://tinyurl.com/o64jwys
They are due for delivery on Monday but won't be able to test for a week as off on holiday.
I also have one of these for me http://tinyurl.com/m3e3zyl
I have been using the Nexus 7 for a while and really like it.

Hi Neil in the same boat as you just finished my first week of cleaner planner and I didnt like it on day one but Ive grown to like it over the week. Like you said rob is constantly on hand to help and the system is very good although not quite as simple to use as george.
Only problem is im now going to have to teach the wife how to use it.
