That is a scary story, I'm glad I'm off the ladders now, he had years of experience and it can still happen.
Im not scared of heights, just falling from them.

Can happen at any time. A gas engineers ladders slipped. Nearly snapped his back. So easy to do. Insurance company's wont touch ladder work soon. When you get life insurance, doo you say your a cleaner or window cleaner? They should ask trad or wfp

This happened only a street away from my house :o
I could be wrong but I would guess it was on one of the chalet style houses on that street ( dormer windows ). I can remember when I used to be on ladders, it was one foot on the ladder and one foot on the roof at these houses, and the window would be about 7 foot wide, so a bit of a stretch to do it in one climb, very dangerous, it was the main reason I went WFP as I have a lot of this house type.
