Clean it up - what's going on?
« on: June 26, 2014, 07:18:21 am »
Tried to log in and got some marketing crap trying to give me a £1000 supermarket voucher ...... just give them my phone number etc.  ::)roll

Is this something we have to put up with or has the site been spammed?

Not enough!

Could be malware on my laptop maybe. Just ran a program and cleared it out again.

Sorry Cleanitup looks like the problem might be my end.

Hi Dave,

We only show Google approved ads and this certainly wouldn't be one of those, unfortunately it does sound like a virus related issue at your end. Get some AntiVirus software such AVG (AVG FREE is a great tool) and hoepfully this will "Clean It Up".

Thanks.

Found it!

Seems my laptop has two malware type programmes - Speedial and Superfish.

Haven't managed to get rid of them yet  :'(
