Pump problem!

I've just changed hoses on Surflow pump but for some unknown reason theres no water coming through when turned on! Though there is when its disconnected! Any ideas what it could be as it was working ok before I changed hose's?

Disconnect the hose off the hose reel. let it run for 2-3 mins (pref have the hose lower than the height of the pump to help the water siphon) then connect back to hose reel and your controller should then dead end
You've probably got an air lock

The pump is running but no water coming through I've tried swapping connections but no success

Loosen off the pump connectors a little, if you over tighten them the pump wont work.

Oh right thought by tightening them it would stop leaks

You just need to hand tighten them enough to stop any leaks, I done the same a few years back when I tightened
them up with pliers and spent the whole day trying to figure out why my pump wouldn't work.
Even though it said hand tighten only on the pump.

Put your mouth round the hose & suck the water through to prime it. I have to do this now & then if I totally drain my tank.

This. I have to do this sometimes if the pump runs dry.

you must make sure all connections are air tight or it wont draw.
i had the same problem, my hose from tank to pump filter let in a tiny bit of air and it would not work

Hope you didn't swallow any- according to our resident Chemist that hose stuff leaches deadly chemicals! Makes your water go all soapy & cloudy!! ;D ;D
