No 1 smart clamp help required

My top smart clamp is stuck fast and will not allow me to remove the gooseneck. I have sprayed the bolt and thread bit with WD 40 and still can't move it.  I am considering cutting it off. What would you recommend as an alternative or is this my only option?

Try some heat on it. Boiling water or a hairdryer might work.

There should be no need to cut this off. If it really is stuck then take the plastic gooseneck apart and fit an adjustable spanner on the flat part with the 'teeth' - then with someone holding the top section twist the gooseneck using the leverage of the spanner - as the base part of the gooseneck turns it will release from the top section.

If the pole is under a year old give us a call and we can replace the base part of the plastic gooseneck for you as they should be easy to fit and remove.

Its the bolt and thread which is stuck it will not turn at all.  Even if gooseneck comes out how do I use the clamp as it is stuck fast. It won't twist or turn to allow re insertion.

I have got the bolt out and the plastic gooseneck is now stuck. I'm trying your suggestion but feel it not budging. I'm going to spray it and heat it up and wait a bit and see what happens.
