Aquadaptor hoseless pole
« on: June 21, 2014, 09:26:08 am »
What's your guys thoughts on these new poles with plug in connectors at the base, anyone got any negative comments, looks good to me like you could just unplug the base of the pole throw it in van and reel it all in instead of having to fold your pole hose then reel the rest in?
Wonder in gardiners got anything in the pipe line so to speak!

My pole hose goes on the reel with all the rest, never disconnected except to undue kinks.

That's some brush he's got on that. Looks more like a highly fattened yard-broom.

Interesting.....

That is a china pole, as seen here:

Nothing wrong with that as such, but any one of us could order directly from them for half the price probably.

But the tubeless part, well I found it hard to concentrate on it becuase of that accent, but as I see it it works like this:

There's a connector at the bottom of the smallest pole section which sticks out a bit when the pole is collapsed, and when you attach the hose, you are actually plugging it in to that section.

So when you extend the pole, it draws up the normal microbore hose from the hose reel.

I have to say, that's a good idea.  But it does mean you can only connect/disconnect the pole when it is fully collapsed.

Anouther thought I've had is could the end piece snap off if you placed the pole end on the ground or caught it on a wall etc like you do sometimes?

Hi guys,

it is not the Chinese pole in above picture.

also it is connected inside the pole about 3inch deep, so the pole connector does not touch the floor, it cannot break off.

There will be pole storage as a complement next week advertised.

Ok then but it is a china pole from one of the many suppliers, which we could probably order ourselves direct. Nes pas?

By the way regardless of where you're getting the pole from, I'm not knocking it, I genuinely think it is a good idea.

Hi pal sounds very interesting, hope it's interchangeable with other brands of poles as I only use gardiners and this sounds like a good idea although I think Somone else made something similar a while back where it was a hoseless pole but never really heard much after seeing it on the forums?

More interested in the quick release, but as yet aqua have failed to respond to emails.

With regard to the hoseless pole, it's a good option but how reliable will the inner tube and connection be and how dirt resistant ?

I know many use several sizes of pole, but we very rarely change pole the slx does over 95% of our windows! but we do change brushes quite often

But it's great to see new stuff coming to market

Noticed there was no Aquadapter on the pole, I take it they are not compatible because of the connecter being inside the base section, therefore any pulling action on the hose would result in the hose detaching from the connector?

It would work, I used to use a setup similar to this. I had about 6" of pole hose out the bottom of pole, then connect the micro bore with a rectus fitting. The microbore would then go up the middle of the pole and act as the pole hose.

Pulling on the microbore to operate the aquadapter worked with no problems.

Hi Guys.

Of course it is compatible with A/D ;), And there's a kit to do this.

Good ideas. Always new ideas from them. Alex should be worried. Nothing new from Gardiner but new clamps. Nothing like the picture of a china hose. If it was so easy, we would all buy from china. Good point about aquadapter not being compatible
