I got rid as the mk7 I had was a jumbo 17 seater, used to do private hire but couldn't stand the late nights or lack of having a life at the weekends while everyone's on the pop!
I've had loads of mk5,mk6 and just the one mk7 up to now but will be getting anouther in the future, nothing comes close to them.
The t5's and sprinters are decent but they just seem so expensive to me not just to but but for parts etc, transits are cheap as chips!

Shop around Bob, i picked up a 280, 05 plate, 39k on clock (when i brought it), no rust, damage or dents, steel bulkhead £3,500 ish (cant remember exactly)private sale

Took it to my mates garage and had the whole underfloor and sills sprayed with waxy oil to prevent rust

Been a great van, cant fault it (it'll breakdown now)
