Hi Peeps,
Can anyone tell me please how long it can take for CRB checks to come through, all the other contracts we have havent required them but our latest contract is based around children in a recreation centre so CRB checks are a must.
We were due to start the contract from tommorrow but the checks were only requested today as this was not even thought about until today believe it or not, not impressed really but these things happen.

Hi

I work for HR in the NHS at the moment and ours take anything between a week and six months!  It depends how busy they are, if the application is straight forward and if the form was filled out correctly.  At the moment, we're getting our clearances back within 10 days on average.

I am a helper with the Boys brigade and a CRB check was requested on me 8 weeks ago i only got the all clear yesterday

i have heard it said it depends how many addresses the person has lived at and declared on their form as every address they have lived at is checked.

If the person has lived within the same coounty as the checks are being done in for so many years (sorry, cant remember how many, 10?) then the check is usually back within 2-3 weeks maximum, if theyve lived in other counties it can take longer as other police force records have to be checked/included, mine took about 6 weeks  with checks in 3 counties, Andy
