I have a HP envy 4500! It only takes hp cartridges and will not operate on any other cartridge. I pay £3.49 per month to HP and that allows me 100 prints of anything and I am able to carry over all unused prints to the next month. You never run out of ink as HP send you new cartridges automatically when you start to run low.
