Really need a mobile optimised site as on an iPhone it's frustrating to have to keep zooming in etc.
Wordings bad. You put "Reliable, regular and frames and sills cleaned every time" 2 AND's mate
Like you I did a 1&1 website and posted on here for opinions.Nat came on and advised me on how to make it better until I told him the cost of hosting.Upshot was I did a deal with him to design and host mine cheaper than a couple of years 1&1 hosting.Write your time off and do a deal with Nat would be my advice.Tony
Have a look and let me know what your think pleasewww.h2oproclean.co.uk Nat ... being cheeky here I know but are my meta tags / page descriptions ok ? (when I next do a website for Ian Hornby window cleaning you will be getting the job as takes too long doing it myself Ive decided )Done this one thru 1and1 but has its limitations and don't have time to learn html or whatever is used these days (learned on basic many years ago when I was a kid .. was fun going into dixons and programming amstrads to do rude messages)
A few spelling mistakes (i.e regulary - regularly ) but on the whole looks good I like the family touch on the 'team' page
You've done well mate - the 1and1 sitebuilder is very limited, so hat you've managed to achieve with it is very good - - though as has been mentioned before it looks rubbish on small screens - and over 50% of browsing is now done via mobile devices, so its defo something you need to look at in the future. As for the meta tags - go through the site and delete all your "meta keywords" tags - these are now depreciated and its just extra code taking up space. Your meta description and page title tags are the important ones and it seems that many of yours are too long. The title needs to be 70 characters or less and the description needs to be 156 characters or less.I also think its VITAL for you to add your company name and phone number to the header of every page - it looks a bit strange without it and it will mean you get a LOT more calls from the site!Quote from: Ian101 on June 01, 2014, 09:15:18 amHave a look and let me know what your think pleasewww.h2oproclean.co.uk Nat ... being cheeky here I know but are my meta tags / page descriptions ok ? Nat you say the description should be less than 156 words but yoast recommend at least 300? Whats that about mate?Danny
Its actually Yoast that i got the 156 character limit from!Yoast recommends a minimum of 300 words of "on-page" text - is that what you're thinking of?Quote from: KLEENAWAY on June 01, 2014, 02:03:16 pmNat you say the description should be less than 156 words but yoast recommend at least 300?
