On my 2nd claber hose reel.

^that one, gonna fit a wooden base, as other reel was just lifted in and out and took a beating and oit of shape and no good now.

What should I use to fit new reel to wooden base pipr clips?

What size pipe clips do I need and where from?

You do get hooks with the reel to fit to a wall but don't see them being any good for what I want unless it's me; seems hooks make wobbly.

If you are gonna use wood, why not make two channels in the wood then have a piece of wood that locks it into place.

I found that 22mm copper pipe clips tend to fatigue and break after a while due to cornering when driving.
That's my experience anyway.
I now use 8 cable ties (2 on each corner) on the hose reel and find this method much better.

Lee I'd buy heavy duty commercial one. Forget them cheapie reels spend abit of wonga ya tight wad lol !!!! Will last ya many many more years a good heavy duty one, especially if ya gonna bolt down in van !!!!

Yes an expensive commercial reel would last years and do the job it's supposed to do.
But I would say that the cheaper hose reels do tend to last years if left fixed in the van as there is not as much wear and tear as with lifting them in and out all the time.
I've got a cheap (£60 ish) metal hose reel that is approaching 5 years of daily use and although once I had to change the centre plastic spindle and a hose fitting barb it still works fine.
Good value for money in my opinion.

Hiya Lee carpal tunnel going well m8. I was back to work 2 days after it was done. Had it done on the Saturday it was bank holiday Monday so went back Tuesday. Took it easy for the first week, was just pulling hoses and doing a little, my son done most of the hard stuff.

He he !!!!! I know where your coming from with being careful with money. I'm having abit of a nightmare at mo, no one seems to be paying its there but not in my account as of yet. Hopefully should start getting some money in this week hopefully. This is what happens when you do commercial work

Most are like this at paying, you get the odd ones they pay within the 30 days, you just gotta swallow it as there's plenty of other window cleaners out there so gotta be careful how to approach. Does p me off as we have wages, bills ect to pay.

I have 2 cheap "amazon" hose reels.  Metal and plastic, its almost the same as the first post and cost £30.
I had a issue once when the handle broke but it was replaced free.  its been clipped in my van now for a year and a half and is still going strong.
