I pay £300 per week for £750 worth of work completed 1 man 1 van per week x 3 employees they work 7.30 till 3.00 however 1 of the guys seems to come back between 1.30 and 2pm he seems to think that as his completed £150 a day he can finish before 3pm. I have had no complaints yet, but I'm concerned he maybe rushing his work. Have confronted him on this but he seems to think that its ok. Trying to think the best way of dealing with this any advice would be appreciated

What do you want him to do? Slow down? He gets no complaints. If you tell him not to come back till 3 he'll be doing other stuff on your clock. Either pay him by the hour or give him more work.

£150 a day between 7.30 and 3?  Not exactly working them into the ground is it? Give them all more work. They should be able to do 20 houses in that timescale. Personally I think you should be looking at why the other two are so bloody slow.

Not that simple fast cleaners always get court out buy the customer. The business or sole trader will and repeat will get the complaint or cancellation. Remember the customer pays our wages for the business owner and employee?

Mate, he is your only honest worker by the sounds of it, they all are tossing it off guaranteed!!!. Id make sure they arnt doing there own work on the side if i was you!.
Sorry to throw a spanner in the works but having them work 7.30 till 3pm id expect at least £250/300 to be cleaned not a quick £150! I can bang £150 out in a few hours..

Id seriously get rid of 1 of them and up the other 2's work load upto £250/300, less overheads and more profit for you.. Win win.

yes your right to a point but our business is based in the north west they complain about the price of bread window cleaners are 2 a penny up here. there are more cleaners than windows no insurance and singing red red wine UB 40 DOLE GRABING PR..OPLE

All of my jobs are job & knock.
Takes a bit longer, you work till it's done.
Done quicker (with no complaints) early (happy) days.

Spot check the fella's work.
If all tickety boo, try and find more like him.

1:double check his work.
2:keep track of days work hrs,etc and if exactly same day recurs next time  go with him and see what happens.
3:if all seems well fill his day up.
not all people work at same rate , so don't get rid of another that is possibly working harder to achieve the same figure.

he should take his time .  whatever way you look at it he is rushing and we all know what comes of that.   besides , you told him that its 7.30 till 3 pm    and hes defying you by not complying .       i know of a firm where the workers are done by 2 pm ish but paid until 4.     they sit in the van somewhere quiet   , can be called on by the boss if need be .      they sure as sh/t dare not finish erly .   this is the biggest firm in my area so not rubbish talk its fact
