Ive gone back to a slx 25 I think its a better all round pole...I still have  my extreme 25 but have it set up with the extensions just for the high stuff....I was going through extreme sections like the clappers :-\

The extreme is a great pole, In my opinion its more suited to commercial rather than residential

We have a couple of extreme 47's , A 48 extreme & supermax 50,

The preferred pole is the 48 as it has a fully telescopic base section

Yep....after using the slx again for a couple of months I'd forgot how nice it is to clamp the pole wherever on the section and I've got used to the extra weight of the slx and I prefer it I can put a lot more pressure on the windows when scrubbing with no fear of the section snapping.

Me.
Extreme is good for commercial but for residential SLX all the time.
It gets extended/collapsed much more often and the extreme's 'wear bar' will wear much quicker than the whole length of the slx.
Even if I only get a year out of the pole I'm happy. I used to change my old 18's every 6-9 months.
I do t think an extreme would last as long.
And the weight difference @18' is negligible.

The original extreme was used by Alex's dad due to an accident. Some people including myself find even an slx hard going on damaged backs and arms.

Without the extreme range I would have quit WFP

you would of have to quit over say 290 grams difference in weight in the 25ft pole, seems a bit excessive

To give you some idea I struggle with a 220gram sill brush. That's how much I suffer with.

I would love to use a 25ft extreme but I am right on the limit.

I fell off a roof in 2006 and my body was never the same.

+1
I had impingement in my shoulder, so for me, the lighter the pole the better

I'm  57 with  a bad back
Trad is a bit strenuous for me
Started with  an xtel, onto a clx then an Slx, now an extreme helps me keep on earning.
I'm not crippled but why put uneccesary strain on your body?

I do like the SLX22 for residential.
It's a game of three halves!

I do like the SLX22 for residential.

22 is a good size i think. Most of my work an 18 will do.

But i am having another clear out of poles soon.

Sold two extremes to partly fund my new extreme.

Will be listing on ebay, 3 more extremes and extreme extensions.

NOM NOM NOM

Then its 25ft extreme, 35ft extreme and twin expansion packs.

Got my Xtreme 25 just under 2 weeks ago, lovely pole, but I am finding the clamping points hard to get used to as I am almost 100% domestic and think I probably need to be able to clamp where I want to, so in hindsight a SLX 25 would have been a lot better for me :(

Anyone want to buy an under 2 week old Xtreme?

Hi Ben,

I hadn't really thought about a price, but as its almost new, would be near to what I paid, so close to £500, make me an offer?
