Hi All,

I'm kitting out a 2nd van, and I've just ordered a pump box from The Cleaning Warehouse... Looks nice and compact, will screw it to the van floor.

It will save me time faffing around wiring everything up in the van etc... It has an inlet for the hose coming from the tank and an outlet for hose going to the reel... Looks good to me.

Does anyone else use a pump box in their van?

yep andy ive got one.only problems ive had is getting the calibration right with hot water.nightmare.fine with cold

I went for a pumpboard instead and just screwed it to the side of the van.

No, i don't use a pump box, don't see any point. Never had my pump in a box so far (almost 5 years and 2 different vans), and never had any problems with it. You can buy a new pump for £60-£70, a controller for about the same, so £120 for a small plastic box seems a bit excessive.

Or am i just a bit tight?!

Used a pump box for 10 years. Mine doesn't have a battery in it though, mine's wired direct into the van's power. Pump & strainer inside & controller fixed to the outside face.

It comes with a battery to.

In my other van I have battery, controllers and pumps all separate... But I hate all the wiring in etc... I liked the idea of the pump box because everything is compact and in one place and easily transferable to another van if needed.

They dont come with a battery at that price,  I think pump boxes are way over priced for what they are but i have had mine almost 3 years and it does the job for me . Mike


But for £166 you could have had a pump and controller mounted on a board . Mike

Mine's mounted in an electrical box, forget what they call them now but can be bought from any electrical wholesalers like CEF etc for around £20.

In fact, someone on here did just that a while ago & posted pics, cannae remember who it was though.

It does come with a battery. I called them to double check - it also says it in the advert.

I wouldn't have bought it if it didn't come with a battery.
