does any one use compatible toners for there laser printer was just wondering if they are good enough for printing general letters etc or is it best to stick with originals, as i don't want to mess anything up with the printer.

in my experience compatible toner is just as good as the original, just maybe doesn't last as long.

I have always used OEM ink. But last time I tried some from ink jungle.

I don't think I will ever ever buy non genuine OEM ink again.

Talk about a load if hassle and poop.

I had issues with every sodding cartridge. When they give you instructions telling you to "wiggle" a glued on computer chip. It kinda indicates the quality.

ive never had problems with compatible ink always got mine from cartridge monkey..but just wondered if toner was any different think ill give it a try and see

a brother hl-4150cdn..I'm just a little wary that it could cause problems with the printer using compatible toner also i got the laser printer so the ink wouldn't run on the paper if it gets a bit wet and not sure if compatible toner would run like it does using an inkjet printer. All i use it for is printing letters, payment slips etc.
I was fine using compatible ink for my inkjet but toner is more expensive to just try out, it would be good to get your opinion

Laser toner is much more stable - I would use compatibles - I have two Brother inkjets and use compatibles on them.

History - when I stopped selling office stuff I had a HPMk2 laser office printer that a solicitor customer was upgrading - it had a counter and had done a million copies by the time I had it. (This was when it would have cost thousands new, a real beast)

It used the same technology as a photocopier - and I used compatible cartridges for another few years afterwards until some assembly went down and I replaced with inkjet.

Lasers used to have the edge on quality; and the printing doesn't run when wet.
