Hi Guys, iv got a Streamline 300GPD R/O system but my pressure at home is so low its taking me 1hr n 30mins to fill 25ltrs. Im looking for a booster pump that's reliable and capable can anyone help me please.

Buy another housing and 150gpd membrane and make it a 450gpd r.o
Then the aquatec 8800 booster pump (purefreedom) seems to be your best bet...

(Buy a pressure gauge first so you actually know your in going pressure. Pressure gauges are pretty cheap and then you'll know what you're dealing with)

That's brilliant thanks mate, iv been looking at that pump and i thought it was my best bet also iv go a pressure gauge built into the front on the system.

I've got a spare Flexeon 300 system that has two (yes two!) aquatec 8800 booster pumps.

I bought it nearly 4 years ago, but about a week later a mate gave me a spare 4040 membrane setup so it's just been sitting in my garage ever since.

I've never used it, so all of the filters, including the pre-filters are brand spanking new, never even been wetted.  I can't find the power supply for it though, it uses 24v AC pumps (weird voltage!) so I just ordered a new one for it.

I'll be selling it soon if you're interested.  It cost be about £950 when I bought it, I'll be selling it for about £750 ish.  (I'll need to test it when the new power supply arrives though)

Not being funny Pete, but why would someone pay £750 for a 300 gpd set up when you can buy a 450 gpd for £200 and £110 for an Aquatec 8800 booster pump
Or better still buy a 4040 set up with booster for around £500 or cheaper ?
Why didn't you keep it if it was that good instead of going for the cheaper 4040 you got from your mate ?

Ha ha, 300 gpd!  I only just looked at the specs.  Man I really didn't know what I was doing when I bought it.  Oh well!

Yeah you're right, that is expensive for basically a 300gpd unit.

Well maybe I'll just keep it, and rig up those 2 booster pumps to my 4040 RO instead.  (I have pretty rubbish mains pressure of 32psi) I have ordered a new power supply for them (£20), I guess the pre-filters are fine too.  It must just be that little RO membrane doesn't produce much!

Pete don't think you can use them boosters on a 4040 I could be wrong but I think you need to get the clarks booster mate for that sort of membrane
