I dumped a bad payer back in October. She owes me 90 euros (approx £75). She was the one I spoke about on here who kept pleading with me to clean, with promises of payment which never materialised. I dumped her when I asked her for payment before starting, upon which she got abusive

Guess what? Today she saw me parked up and actually asked me if I would clean hers tomorrow! I reminded her how much shes owes, and being the old softy that I am agreed to clean, but only when she has paid me in full, including the price of tomorrow's clean (£25).

So I will roll up tomorrow afternoon, and when the 115 euros are in my hand, I will get the ladders off and oblige. If, as I suspect, the money is not immediately forthcoming, I will drive off again, probably with expletives in my ear! I will reveal the outcome tomorrow!

Update: I called on her at the agreed time. She was out. Windows not cleaned, note left in door stating time I called. Off the list again!

The trick is to charge a "£5 collection charge"
it works

you do need to tell them before that the "next time I come back and I DONT get my money I will be charging a COLLECTION charge"  since it cost me time and money to keep coming back.

I did that with 4 of my bad payers.  3 have paid up and the 4th one I have not got back to yet.
I did have to add the charge with all of them, so be prepared to add the charge.

its a simple human logic - people are happy NOT to pay for something but are NOT happy to pay for nothing....

Hi All :)

I have a handfull of bad payers that I have to persistently chase up and I have now decided to.dump but do you let them know by phone call or text to let them know or just not turn up again?
Why bother giving them any explanation ? they don't communicate with you or pay promptly. If they are a drain on your business and work time and you no longer wish to clean them then don't. I am sure they will realise why you have stopped calling and probably couldn't care less any way.
