any advise on what size tank for combo van

i am looking to put a 400-500 litre tank in my small combo van has anyone else fitted tanks into this size van if so, let me know what size, van payload is 595kg, cheers

A 400 to 500 litre tank is gonna be 400 to 500 kgs so if that helps max I would put in is about 300 litre

On the 787kg model with a 350 tank full and me in it with everything else.

100kg spare.

So it weighs 687kg.

So no chance.

I got 360 litre tank in my combo lasts me all day .

you can get a 500 upright in a combo however you will be vastly over weight till about midday

Chap round here has a flat 650 in his combo. Fills it to the top as well

Dont forget you can rachet strap a tank to your roof rack

too much weight and you will be paying for repairs,      too much weight will wear away on your suspension, and springs,    you can always add more water half way through and have some dinner while filling up.

Iv got a 400 upright in mine, id say its to big for the van, a 350 would of been better.

Also the 400 dosent fit against the bulkhead, so something else to think about

You have not told us which model of combo you have. I think we assuming it is an older model, in which case your maximum payload for the 2000 (gvw) version is around 800kg, so 350l-400l. However, if it is the 2300 version of the current shape, then 500l will be fine.

I got a combo with 500 ltr upright, must admit i do not fill up to the top , i only fill to about 8" from very top of the tank.

had it for years no probs ;)

Thought it was unusual for you as you are pretty clued up on payloads lol.
