What happened was, I got a phone call today from abroad.  At first I thought it was one of those poxy scam calls about website SEO or computer viruses.

Anyway eventually a woman comes on the line and starts off spouting about a property they own which they need cleaning in the UK. They're out the country at the mo and will be until mid May but need it done urgently. It's about 45 miles away.

So we talk and she agrees to send a pic if she can find one and clarify what they want doing.

I take a look at the email once it comes through but my main condition is that we're paid before we do the work.

I phone her once I've considered my price and offer it to her as well as a price for insides and a regular outside price.

She agrees and has just paid my full asking price for an external window and external gutter and fascia clean. None of you have come close to what I asked for, nowhere near. And I'm not saying what the figure is but she was impressed with the website and that's what sold it.

They also agreed to our regular outside price and our insides price.

Believe in yourself and go for what you want. Don't ask - don't get.  8)

I've allowed four man days (two men - one van - over two days). Make of that what you will. Plus 10% ;@)

I would have said £400 as a one off including external guttering.

So you already gave a price and got the job and had no intention of telling us what you quoted, and you wanted to tell everyone.. why exactly?

No - I hadn't already got it in the bag when I first posted. I have given you an idea of the price, re-read the thread dip-stick.

But you were never going to tell us your price anyway so what's the point? It's just a house that needs cleaning and you got the job.

Why would it take long to clean Wed clean all the windows inside & out plus give the facias and guttering a good clean with the pole. This would take to of us around 3 hours max !!!! I'd if prices that around £150 for facia and guttering, £90 for outs and £90 for insides as a one off. You can't price as a one off as you got it on a regular bases !!!

All the best with it and good luck  ;D
