I use craftex solvent. Works every time. If it is very bad, use a towel and hot iron to get most of the wax out before using solvent.
Be careful with coloured candle wax. Check for colour transfer to towel.

Hi,
I find that using chewing gum remover works a treat, scrape of as much as possible, and apply, CGR, and then I apply solvall spotter and blot.
Both products are from the Prochem range
www.prochem.co.uk
Be carefull with coloured candles tho, make sure that you check for colour transfer.
Hope this helps.
Kind regards
Paul

Depending on how bad a mess its made some solvent spoters sometime helps.
By far the best way is brown paper and an iron but be carefull especialy if it nylon, its easely scorched. Put the ball back in the customers court in other words let it be there decition as to weather or not you do it. If at all unsure
WALK AWAY.
Take Care John

Hi Guys,
White spirit works well.
Remember waxes will vary with molecular weight and also any any cross linking with stearates so in short some will remove very easily and others will take a bit or dwell time.
Cheers

High heat water, then remove any excess, if any left, with solvent. You need a heat exchanger, heatmate etc

scrape off most the wax, then put paper towel (or 2) on the wax and GENTLY heat with an iron. Keep changing the paper towel. Last time I did one, I used about 50 paper towels, but all the wax will come out. Careful on synthetic carpets, because you singe them easily. Do it slowly and you will be fine.

if you can't turn up the heat boil a kettle, let the boiling water run down the handtool onto the wax as you move the tool forward,
or do as I do and pour the boiling water striaght onto the wax and vac off

Ashby's V2 chewing gum wand. The most effective tool by far for heavy candle wax deposits, boiled sweets etc without any need for solvent. I might be persuaded to get rid of it.
(I got it for a regular night club job I used to have that had a private members lounge with loads of candle's)

I just pour boiling water on a towel and place it over the wax...it transfers to the towel easily.
