Flow on pressure washer splutters
« on: April 17, 2014, 09:17:26 pm »
Does anyone know what I should be looking for regarding this problem.

Honda Gx390 pressure washer with reduction gearbox and pump (not interpump, actually most likely
a cheap chinese pump)

Using it today was working fine then when I moved from back of house to front and restarted the
machine, the water pressure had drastically dropped and the water flow was constantly spluttering.
Used it to get the job finished, just took twice as long.

Any ideas?

It basically turned itself into a karcher with very low power - Checked all oil and they were fine.

How are you feeding the water? From a tank?

Blocked filter maybe?

Feeding from water butt - Doesn't seem to be any blockages - Powerful flow on return to water butt.

When you pull the trigger, does water return to the water butt?

Thanks for response.

I have now upgraded the whole pump and gearbox system.
