Hosepipe Ban
« on: April 01, 2014, 05:21:35 pm »
I was talking to one of my customers today who is a chauffeur for the boss of the regional water company.
Apparently the government have been in talks with all the regional water companies discussing regular hose pipe bans.
They are going to bring in new regulations that if any region of the country has either:
5 days without rain
2 days of sunshine
3 or more consecutive days above 20 degrees Celsius

A hosepipe ban will been enforced automatically under any of the above conditions until rain returns.
This could affect all of us.  >:(

It won't effect us because it's are living and H & S Regs. And they won't make us use ladders, just in case someone has a fall

Was talking about this today.

What happens if we went back to stand pipes in the road some years ago?

Good april fools there.

Hosepie bans do not affect businesess. Its drought orders that can affect business, and even when under a drought order, only restrictions are applied as the situation gets worse. They very rarely ban busineses for using water alltogether, plus its regional, so if there is a drought order say in surrey but there isnt one in middlesex and you get your water from middlesex because thats where you live then you arnt technically under restrictions, if you bring the water to surrey to work.
