Re-branding
« on: April 01, 2014, 09:07:32 am »
I'm thinking of giving my business a overhaul- new van, name, van wrapped for starters.
I'm going for the name 'Art of Glass' but here's the clever/contentious bit. I'm having the van wrapped with a picture of a young, scantily clad Debbie Harry (because of the Blondie song).
That's the clever bit- I'm hoping it will get loads of attention and bring in lots of work.
But will it get a lot of negative attention- unprofessional? Will it cause lots of accidents? That's the contentious bit.
Your thoughts,  please.

Ps. Should I get complaints from Ms.Harry, herself, about her being on my van, the bloke who's doing my van wrap said we can just turn her brunette, add a couple of van ports on the bust area and say it's Claire Sweeney. Claire being window cleaner friendly surely won't have any complaints.

If I was you I'd get your van painted in "union City Blue" then have "call me" down the side "one way or another" your customers will be "hanging on the telephone!"

Seriously, it could work for someone with more ambition, money and business sense than myself.
Sky and Virgin do it with the film themed wraps and they look good. I know you could run into problems but they've got bigger fish to fry and you could always blag it, a bit.
