Just carry on using the r/o as long (as it is having a noticeable effect) as well as your di. Your r/o needing filters changed may well have put the tds reading higher than you would use alone, but it is still a hell of a lot lower than out of the tap. If your di resin is having to take the ppm down from say 15-20 to 0, it will last a lot longer than taking it down from 65 to 0. Once the r/o is no longer doing anything, then think about using di only.
Personally, i would keep with the r/o.
