I must say I had no idea that window cleaners earning six figure annual salaries were so ubiquitous, but clearly according to all the alleged pricing and hourly rates there's plenty of you earning comfortably £500+ per day = ten grand + per month.....no wonder you're all so smug and full of it !

Hopefully some can count though. £75 / 2 =£37.50 an hour x 7 = around half £500 per day.  ;D

The windies on here earning £10 an hour would be better getting a job paying minimum wage.

All cleaned with a pole? Do you think a conservatory ladder would have been much use??

Good job btw :-)

Just to add, the job made by the OP is absolutely fantastic and easily worth double what he charged.

no doubt about it you ve done a great job of that roof mate.

you live and learn and get better and quicker on add ons the more you clean.

if your happy with £75 then fair play.

i remember doing a conny roof for £30 a few years ago and it took me 2 hours!!i was gutted!!hard work for peanuts then as i gained experience and confidence i started charging more and speeding up the cleans.

£50-£60 an hour is the norm now for add on jobs like these.

and NO i dont earn a fortune window cleaning!!better than working in a factory for min wage though!! ;) :)
price higher/work harder!

It's the time taken people are getting at.

Most have said a two hour job.

So either OP has OCD or technique was way off.

Nobody is knocking the quality of the job.

Great job David.
Sorry go hear it took twice as long as it should.
Happened to me lots.

Unfortunately it's a learning curve  window cleaning no problems but con roofs facia cleaning still have
A few problems.
Want to give a fair price to your customers but don't want to sell yourself short, walking a tight rope for awhile.

Once your an expert David slap an extra £5-£10  on each type of job like that so your get the money back.

Simple to the point fair comment, which is the way i work,
10 years fighting and beating cancer twice, it nice to be working for 7 hours plus.

But i do value all the comments on my post, i have been doing this for 10 years now as a new job, as i felt nobody when give me a job in toolmaking anymore (with my illness).
So i found this forum which help me to setup and learn the trade, never look back.

So first time i have said it..... Thanks cleanitup guys you gave me a purpose to carry on ....Well Done Really

£75.00 would be not bad for a first job on a saturday morning 2 hours tops should of done it.

I soap it all up by dipping the brush in virosol and water, scrub for a while (no rinsing for about 20mins)
Then turn the flow on really slow just to get some water funnelling, while you are still scrubbing then when it looks ok give it a good blast rinse! Jobs a Good one!

Good before and after photos like.
im confused with what chemical to use because in a previous post you say virosol is rubbish , make up your mind lol ;D

wow, although that is a proper class job, i would want about £400 for the time you spent

I know, but i took it as a challenge,
Customer went out before i finished,
Text her today for payment, she said im at work but i have not seen the job yet to see if im happy.

Feel gutted with the comment she made

What did she say when she got home?

Nice job.

And thumbs up for sticking to your commitment to continue to clean it and finish the job. Well done that man. I know a couple who would have walked off the job.

If you can get them to make that an annual job for that amount, the next time will be a doddle. In the North East I probably won't have got the job had I quoted £70.00.
