washing mirco fibs and scrims
« on: March 23, 2014, 10:31:56 am »
My wife won't let me wash my newly bought blue micro fibres :'(

This is why i always used scrims never washed and demote them them to sill clothes and wiping up spills.

I am wfp and use cloths for the odd inside clean.

Got some micro fibre clothes for an inside connie roof worked well and like micro fibres.

Anyone banned from the washing machine for scrims and micro.

All i can think of is try to wash'em in a bucket or down to the laundrett.

Not got room for another washing machine.

Maybe a new wife ;)

Any ideas thanks.

Point out that the money you earn with the cloths is what paid for the washing machine so you're going to use it.

You need to wash them in the machine.

Or buy new ones - from the shopping budget.

I see only two options here.

1. Don't wash them! When they get dirty just buy new ones.

2. Grow a pair.

Washing dirty scrim in a decent modern washing machine should leave no reason for hygiene worries I shouldn't think? Just wash on the hottest wash possible, no soap powder needed as the dirty scrim will already be saturated in soap (detergent) and as well as the dirt it's the detergent your trying to get rid of to make them decent detailing cloths (scrim)

The scrim I wash on a hot wash comes out spotlessly clean and the washing machine drum is also spotless after taking them out. You could always pour some disinfectant into the drum prior to starting the wash.

Blast them with a hose to get all soap out then a quick spin in the machine.

Do it when she is not home, or better get the lass next door to do it. Even better her sister or best friend.

Sneak downstairs in the middle of the night and put them in the machine while she is asleep. Or tell her you are the man of the house and what you say goes.

Slap her arse and show her who's boss Lee!

Then move out rent a nice little flat, buy your own washing machine and just see her when you feel like it.works for me!then you can do what the hell you like! 8)
