Any of you use a submersible pump for your IBC tank, if so which one do you use?!

hi darran, i got mine from machine mart (clarke) for about £35,had it 2 years no problems..

Clarke CSE2, £107.

Fills 600 L through 40M of hose and a rise of 3M in 16 minutes.

Shorter hose and more level will see much better flow rate.

I didn't go for the sub pump as the one I had (in the ibc tank) had gone funny (probably with the pure water) so opted for an external pump.

It's supposed to do 60l per minute, even at 50l per minute should only take around 13 mins, 10 mins at 60l per min.  Either-way, I'm happy with it.   Might checkout Aldi as a backup.

If you can get it to do 50L per minute I'll be surprised - LPM figures are rather like MPG figures for vehicles; theoretically possible.

Whatever way it works out though, it should be fine for the job.

Should fill both vans in under 10 mins 😛

Problem with booster pumps is by the time you have hose lock connectors, and hose running from tank to pump then to van the flow is reduced dramatically, mine should deliver 80 ltrs per min but takes 25 mins to fill a 1000 ltr tank times that by 2 and that's nearly an hour wasted everyday 😫

I'll let you know how the sub pump takes in reality rather than theory
