New moter will be....
« on: March 14, 2014, 09:29:53 am »
My old favorite the famous ford transit connect 230 lwb ..
I test drove an older 2006 l200 didn't like it took kit out in back it was dire also the drive wasn't great quite shaky and for the money of an 06 -08 10k to much for half that price I can get a nice clean connect with 50k mileage so much more practical
I viewed one yesterday £6400 with vat it was a beauty viewing a other tomorrow
Quite excited ! Can't wait to get rid of the rust bucket I have now
Won't be changing my mind connect it is!

That will probably have been the 75bhp tddi. You want a tdci. I have the 90ps version, it does me fine, but if you can get a 110ps go for it. As well as being faster, they are apparently more economical too.

I have had my 2006 230tdci for nearly 4 years now, had just under 60k miles when i got it, now at just over 101k. So far, touchwood, other than a clutch (and i am pretty sure i know why that went, and it was my fault!), it has not needed anything other than routine servicing.

connects are good but a transit will give you more working space

As above, but also, going by your other thread re 650l tank, if you go for a transit, then you have more options for a bigger tank.
