Ordered a new pump yesterday in a hurry and thought I'd give a Flojet a go for a change. Just had a quick look on Gardiners Site and it looks like it comes with push fit JG fittings (I bought pump only)

I thought they would have the same threaded outlet and inlet as shurflow.
Is there a fitting that replicates the shurflow?
I have braided stainless hot water hose screwed directly to my pump inlet and a brass elbow on the outlet at the moment.
Don't really want to replumb my system all over again just for a pump.

On the flow jet pumps its a blue pull out insert to protect the thread or stuff getting into the pump.

I see but what's inside? Shurflow has male threaded outlets.

you should of bought a shurflo dave.more money and expense on different fittings now as well as waiting around for parts/fittings.

We are selling two types of pumps now:

Which did you buy?

If you want to fit your current hose fittings (that you used on a Shurflo) you would need the following parts:

For the Flojet you would need a 3/8" to 1/2" male-to-male threaded fitting - we do not sell these

For the Aquatec you would need a http://www.gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/acatalog/john-guest-3-8-inch-stem-to-1-2-inch-enlarger.html and then a John Guest 1/2" stem to 1/2" screw thread adapter (PI051624S) which we do not sell, but can be bought here - http://www.applegate.co.uk/b2b-products-services/d4abbd5b0dfd5b46e043e064a8c02f26.html

I have no idea  Probably arrive later today then I'll know for sure. Either way I'm going to have to get some more bits.

Shame really because I've got a massive commercial job to do tonight and I can't manage without it so I've lost £500 in earnings!

Got it - that was quick complete with smashed pressure switch   It's the Flojet - I didn't know there was another make (do now).

Weighs an absolute ton. Try and sort something out now - it has the internal threaded inlets so I guess the above fittings would work but I'll have to change my current pipework. Pants!!

Dazmond! Wash your mouth out with soap - don't you realise where I bought this from?

I've got a couple of old pumps and I might strip the latest duff one down and have a peak inside. The one I'm using now tends to change speed on its own which is why I took it out a few years back.

That is a shame - I have let the Sales Office know that this has been broken in transit as we will need to get a claim in today.

It might just be the cover that has broken and the pump may still work.

These are very robust pumps compared to other brands - hence the weight.

It is a 3/8" internal thread if you are buying new fittings for it.

Have you tried the pump does it still work?

If you just want to use your old hose/fittings you could go to a plumbing merchants and get a pair of 1/2" male screw thread to 3/8" male screw thread fitting in metal.

No it's sat on my desk. Yes those fittings sound right bit of ptfe tape and bobs yer uncle.

These should be fine, but would need double clamping if using with hot water.

Pressure switch arrived safely - seem to have two rubber pads for the switch 

Just waiting on the male to male npt fittings to arrive from Ebay and away we go.

Typically, my shurflow pump has been running really well today - little bugger must know it's being replaced.

These are pressure switch diaphragms. You will not need either of them as there will be one already fitted. I believe that they are actually two different materials depending if you are pumping chemicals or water. As you are pumping pure water it does not matter which one you use if you ever need them.

Be careful when you remove the old pressure switch that the spring and the plunger do not get lost from under the diaphragm.
