supplying vans?

Hi all ,was just thinking do I supply vans and cars for my works to work for me,or could I get them to use their own.At the moment van and cars are being used outside of work and im picking up the repairs bills,and when cars get wrote off im paying out for new ones.

Rather than change vans maybe you might want to change your staff or at least their attitudes to your property ??

Not wishing to sound harsh or off hand but vans n cars are not cheap  ;)

Thanks the problem I have is I live in kent and they work in Essex,so they have the keys,over the weekend,i need someone to check things out more and take keys from them

Totally agree with this, sounds like your too soft with them.

I'm sure if the vans are being used for personal use outside of working hours, the employee needs to be taxed on the use.

I know my daughters boyfriend is taxed at £50 per month for personal use of his van.

Maybe this will help

Might make them stop using it outside of work, but best tracking the vans anyhow.
